It has been 70 years since the last world war and people’s realization of the importance of peaceful and prosperous coexistence within and among nations. Despite efforts by governments, civil society and individuals, we still see discrimination, inequality and social crisis. Today, religious intolerance has become a barrier for world peace. Currently, 16 peacekeeping operations led by the Department of Peacekeeping Operations, United Nations are trying to resolve the humanitarian crisis across the world. Many countries in the middle-east and Africa are grappling to uphold the principles of social justice.

In order to promote efforts to tackle issues of poverty, unemployment, migration, internal displacements, and exclusion among others, the United Nations decided to observe 20th February as World Day of Social Justice. It is believed that social justice is achieved when discrimination because of gender, age, race, ethnicity, religion, culture or disability are removed. There is a need to establish social justice, solidarity, harmony and equality within nations for overall social development of the world. Innovative Financial Advisors Pvt. Ltd. believes that promotion of equitable distribution of income and greater access to resources through equity and opportunity for all is the need of the hour. Social development and social justice cannot be achieved if there is humanitarian crisis and absence of peace, security, human rights and fundamental freedom.

It is important to maintain harmony and peace among communities and support them through social protection. The gap between the poorest and wealthiest is growing, and efforts need to be directed towards empowerment of individuals, communities by providing development opportunities to them. The voices of the poor and marginalized need to be heard and they should be involved in various decision making activities. The development agenda should be made pro-poor focusing on employment and income opportunities with a strong dimension to globalization in achieving improved and fair outcomes for all.

Innovative Financial Advisors Pvt. Ltd. believes that globalization and interdependence of nations are opening new opportunities through trade, investment and capital flows. New advances in technology, including information technology is accelerating growth of world economy along with development and improvements in living standards of people. Innovative Financial Advisors Pvt. Ltd. understands the challenges that remain in terms of financial crisis, insecurity, poverty, exclusion and inequality among societies. These barriers need to be removed and there should further integration and full participation of different communities in the global economy. Together, we can fight poverty, end discrimination and ensure peace and harmony.
