Five scientists that made India proud

  • Jagadish Chandra Bose – His work in the study of radio and microwave optics was termed revolutionary. In 1895, he demonstrated the use of radio waves for communication and become the first person to do so.

  • Dr. Narinder Singh Kapany – He is called the father of Fiber Optics. Dr. Nariender’s work brought a revolution in the transmission of information. Today the world has access to high speed communication and medical procedures such as endoscopy and laser surgeries only because of his work.

  • Satyendra Nath Bose – His work in quantum mechanics remain unparalleled. Satyendra’s work became the base for “Bose – Einstein statistics”, developed by Einstein and Bose.

  • Salim Ali – Know as the Birdman of India was Ornithologist and Naturalist. He helped in developing ornithologist and conducted some of the first bird surveys in India.

  • Raj Reddy – One of the pioneers of Artificial Intelligence Raj Reddy is the first Asian to receive “Turning Award” which is the highest award in the field of computer science.

Proud to be an Indian… today India is at the crossroads, a paradox of great achievements and mediocrity il issues affecting the citizens, stifling participation, mainstreaming and so much more… such stories highlighting achievements are a breadth of fresh air, renewing our faith in humanity.. wish more such postive stories are highlighted regularly…..
