Fiinovation Draws Attention on Development Information on United Nations Day

The United Nations was formed after the World War II with the aim to promote international co-operation and prevent further conflicts between countries. Every year 24th October is observed as the United Nations Day to make the people aware about the aims and achievements of the organization. The day also coincides with the World Development Information Day. The day draws attention of the people towards public opinion for solving developmental problems thereby focusing on the necessity of strengthening the international co-operation among all the nations.

After extensive work in the social development sector, Fiinovation understands the importance of public opinions, especially dissemination of information that is related to trade and development. The occasion also provides an opportunity to sensitize the public about the measures which are required to strengthen international co-operation and finding ways to solve these problems. It is understandable that in modern times, use of technology to disseminate information to the people is being prioritized so that more people can provide their opinions.

Information in the social development sector is crucial for fostering socio-economic growth of the communities. In this aspect, information and communication technologies serves as important instruments to provide new innovative solutions to the social, economical and environmental problems. Due to glottalization, the problems faced by one nation tends to affect other economies as well. Climate change is another challenge which is having a global impact. Therefore, it becomes a necessity and responsibility of the nations to promote efforts in the sphere of international co-operation.

Fiinovation strongly believes that engagement of people and communities in the development process helps in solving prevalent issues. Hence, it is crucial for the governments and corporations to garner public opinion on the welfare initiatives which they are planning to implement. Similarly, it is also important to highlight and share the achievements or the impact of the initiatives with the general public for their knowledge. Without the participation and engagement of people from across the world, it will be difficult to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals by 2030. Fiinovation urges all the nations to work efficiently towards dissemination of information as well as mobilizing resources for the development of people.

If information and knowledge are central to democracy, they are the conditions for development.

– Kofi Annan
